What is included?

How much does it cost?

Price is $8299 CAD plus a $1500 refundable core charge and $2000 deposit.

What is the turnaround time?

Typically about four weeks after deposit, engine is ready to ship with pickup or drop-off available in Chilliwack.

Who builds the engines?

Allen, a Red Seal machinist with 15+ years experience, partners with a previous workplace automotive machine shop and has deep experience in rebuilding and repairing cylinder heads and honing.

Is core return required?

Yes, the $1500 core charge is refunded when you return your old engine.

Engine Sale Terms & Conditions – GD6H Engines

1. Eligible Engines & Vehicles

   • Engines are GD6H rebuilt to OEM specifications (inspected cores, new seals/gaskets, tested for compression/oil pressure).

   • Compatible with: Kia Sorento 2015–2018, Kia Sedona 2015–2018, Hyundai Santa Fe 2013–2017.

   • Buyer verifies compatibility; no guarantee outside listed models. Seller not liable for mismatches.

2. Pricing

   • Total price: CAD $8,299 for the engine + CAD $1,500 mandatory core charge (refundable on acceptable core return).

   • Prices exclude any shipping fees.

3. Deposit & Payment

   • CAD $2,000 non-refundable deposit via Stripe to reserve engine (applied to final balance).

   • Balance due via e-transfer before pickup/shipping.

   • Deposit refundable (less $200 admin fee) only if seller cancels (e.g., engine unavailable). No refunds for buyer cancellation after 48 hours.

4. Identification & Verification

   • Buyer provides valid government-issued ID and BC address for verification.

   • ID data handled per Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA); used only for sale/fraud prevention. See our privacy policy [link if available].

5. Shipping & Pickup

   • Buyer arranges/pays shipping or pickup.

   • Seller packages in industry-standard crates; buyer assumes risk after handover. Recommend insurance for transit.

6. Installation & Workmanship

   • Engine sold rebuilt and tested; buyer responsible for professional installation.

   • Issues from improper install (e.g., wrong fluids, over-revving), misuse, or mods not covered.

   • Tip: Use OEM-spec oil; change every 5,000 km.

7. Warranty

   • 2-year unlimited km warranty on defects in materials/workmanship, if oil change records provided.

   • Claims: Submit proof (photos, records) within 30 days of issue; seller inspects (at buyer's cost if claim denied).

   • Warranty void if engine modified or abused.

8. Core Charge

   • $1,500 charged upfront; full credit on return of complete, rebuildable core (no major cracks, includes crankshaft/block) within 30 days.

   • Shipping damage reduces credit; drain fluids before return. Refund via original method, less any deductions.

9. General Terms

   • Binding on deposit receipt.

   • No cancellations after deposit except as noted; no refunds for buyer's remorse.

   • Limitation: Seller not liable for consequential damages (e.g., towing/labor). Max liability = purchase price.

   • Disputes: Resolved via BC arbitration or small claims court.

   • Entire agreement: These terms supersede verbal discussions. Force majeure (e.g., strikes, disasters) excuses delays.
